BACKGROUND
Jeffrey Borup has practiced law for more than fifteen years, nine of them in public service. He served five years as an Assistant United States Attorney, acting as lead counsel for civil forfeiture litigation and appeals, including argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and four years with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the Pinal County Attorney’s Office.
In private practice he advised a global financial institution on anti-money-laundering and sanctions strategy. Since 2021 he has served as in-house corporate counsel to a multi-strategy family office, supporting investment, operating-company, and governance matters across the platform.
He has written for the Private Equity Law Report and serves on the boards of two nonprofit organizations.
